5 texts that get you Google reviews
Copy a text, swap the [brackets], and send it the day you finish the job. First, grab your review link. It takes 2 minutes.
Step 1. Get your Google review link
Do this once, on a computer. Google says the QR code only works in a computer browser, not on a phone.
- Go to business.google.com and sign in with the Google account that manages your business.
- Click Read reviews.
- Click Get more reviews.
- Click Copy. That is your review link.
- Text it to yourself or save it in your phone's notes, so it's ready on every job.
Want a sign for the counter or the truck? On that same screen, right-click the QR code, pick Save image as, and print it.
Customers need a Google account to leave a review. Google says they can make one with any email, not just Gmail.
Step 2. Send it the same day
Send it right after the job, while they're still looking at the work. If they don't get to it, send one reminder about a week later. Then stop.

The rules that keep your profile safe
Google removes reviews that break these rules. Every text above follows all five.
Not just the happy ones. Google bans asking only for positive reviews. Asking “were you happy?” first and sending the link only to the people who say yes breaks this rule.
Google bans any reward for a review: money, discounts, free goods or free services. That includes “10% off your next visit if you leave a review.”
Google says you can't pressure customers or ask for specific content. Ask for a review, not a good review.
Google counts those as a conflict of interest and removes them.
Google removes them. The FTC's rule on fake reviews, in effect since October 21, 2024, lets courts fine businesses that knowingly break it.
Want the review text to send itself?
We set it up so every customer gets your review text automatically after the job, the same text to everyone, the way Google wants it.
